Lifestyle Changes....

Where do I start...so many changes since my last post.......

Ok so here we go-

YES I've decided to return to Spoltight....I missed it way to much..so I return to work on the 4th of Jan.

Cancelled holidays to Queensland, my mum is not doing so good so we decided to postpone holiday but we will be going later...all good!!

Etsy and Made It stores have kept me flat out right until Christmas Day...thanks so much to all my fantastic customers I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas.

Samuel graduated from Primary School...he is growing up soooo fast...

Ive had to adjust to a whole lifestyle change with diet. I have had a small growth on eyelid which turned out to be high cholesterol (yukkkkooooo)..so I had to watch everything I'm eating...at first I was a bit depressed but it has resulted in me losing 6 kilos (much needed). Im feeling alot better..and have treated myself to a nice new wardrobe for xmas...

Ok so with all this going on Ive neglected my blog, but this coming year is going to be different...

I plan on having pdf patterns to purchase from my blog and lots of tutorials....so please keep checking here for new things. Im also going to include gift certificates for ETSY and Made It that you can purchase from my blog!!

I have heaps of pics to update, I will be doing this over the next couple of days!!! Im enjoying spending some quality time with Bruni and the boys and there girlfriends...yes my family just keeps on growing.....

New Job

After five years at Spotlight I finally have decided to move on. I have enjoyed my time there and will miss all my friends......I started my new job yesterday and I can tell you that I am in heaven.....NO more weekend work YAY...and I am surrounded by this all day www.kelanifabric.com.au . Check out these gorgeous fabrics. What more could a girl want!!!

Tomorrow my boy Rhys turns 21....gee...what fine young man he is. He asked me and Bruni if we could like to come on the Party Bus with his friends...mmmm lol NO dont think so, but nice to offer..... We are having a family dinner on Sunday....keep posted for pics of my gorgeous family.....

In between hospital visits, housework, washing, cooking and driving kids around I managed to get alot of my orders done..

Ohhhh I've neglected this little blog terribly, life has just been so busy over the past couple of months.

My Dog Rubi, had pups back on the 17th of April and unfortunately we lost her, so Bruni and I had to bottle feed 7 little gorgeous pups. They are now 7 weeks old and doing fine!!!. Two of them have been sold and hopefully the others will go to new homes soon.

Life is finally returning to normal. YAY......

My ETSY store has slowed down a little but is still keeping me very busy....Made IT has picked up and is going really well, so over all I am still very busy out in my little studio.

So now that Im back Im really back and going continue to come and post on my blog, with GIVEAWAYS as well, so keep coming checking back!!!

Hey there...yes I know super slack at keeping this blog updated:) mmmm thinking was it in my New Years Resolutions to keep it updated...nah lol because I didnt have any.

I am feeling so guilty that I have neglected this blog once again....especially since 100 business cards have gone one out with my orders and I havent posted once...but this time I will promise to keep it updated.

Life has been soooo crazy...my ETSY store as been so busy and really caught me by surprise. I have been working really hard to get everyones orders out by xmas...I have had so many late nights and some nights with no sleep at all. Saying this I am soo happy and excited that my store is doing so well. This is what I want to do and have been working so hard towards it.

I would like to say a big thank you to all the customers that have bought items from my store and how your lovely feed back makes my day!!! Its sure nice to have returning customers:).

So there has been a load of other stuff going on as well ( life with 6 sons is never dull).

With two weeks too Christmas I am not organised at ALL!!! I have bought a few presents but not many....so the next 2 weeks are going to be crazy.

I have so many new fabrics coming from Japan over the next week so keep checking my store, I'm sure you are going to love them.

Anyway I better go and get back to the sewing machine.

Today is my 41st Birthday!!!! Gee where has the last year gone...feels like yesterday that I had my 40th...a bit scary to think these years are going to fast. I have had a beautiful day with my family...and I have been spoilt rotten with pressies and love from my boys!!!!

Life has been so busy of the past weeks...and once again I neglect this blog...So hard to keep up with everything and it seems that this little blog is what suffers....I have had lots of orders but I'm not complaining. I have also been so busy at work...organising the Fashion Parade which was held last Friday night...it went so well and all the girls looked stunning...pics to come.

Busy last term for boys at school...with electives to pick, books to order, school camp for Max and Sam has been nominated for School caption next year...so lots of excitement!!!

So I haven't had much time to sew over the weekend but I did manage to get the wallet finished and I have uploaded it into my etsy store..so check it out!!!

Anyway best I go and get some sleep..work tomorrow errrgggg!!!....enjoy pics of my birthday!!!.

Weekend Give Away!!!

So here we are at the end of the first week of school holidays...It hasn't been a great week for us as I had to have dental work done..sorry kids will make it up to you next week..lots planned!!!!!

Must say that I am so happy at how my teeth have turned out....so many years of dental errors with my plate and I can finally say that after two extractions today I received my new plate...and at last it is PERFECT!!!!......I now have a lot smaller front teeth and they are the perfect colour. So there have been lots of smiles tonight...♥

This morning we had to take Max to the Childrens Hospital to see the Cardiologist he has been getting a lot of chest pains and because he has had Kawasaki Disease we had to follow up...So today after lots of tests we got the all clear everything is ok and most likely growing pains or indigestion. Amazing what tests they can do and wow the heart is such a complex organ..so lots of smiles from Max today..think he was worried. On the way home we had a beautiful lunch at Romantica Restaurant in Brunswick(normally bruni and I have lunch there every Friday but today with kiddies as well) the kids loved it.....I couldnt even eat because I was soooo nervous about the dentist.

So there as been a lot of sewing going on this week and I'm loving my studio....

Ohhhh where does time go??? I so hate neglecting my blog and I keep promising myself that I wont but there is just not enough hours in the day...with working, looking after my family and running my on line shop. But at last I have cut back hours at work and am now back on a 24 hour week...so much better. Three full days (killers) then two days off (noice).

So much exciting stuff has been going on...Samuel played in the footy finals..then had presentation day...he got awarded with most improved and received two nice trophies.

Spotlight had the Annual Profit Share night held at the Casino...wow what a night. It was just amazing such a good night and such an experience. I thoroughly enjoyed myself....ummm wasn't so good when I had to get up and to work the next day....

Been busy getting alot more stock in my shop...and keeping up with orders.

Studio is nearly finished....Ben and Brunzzz finished painting it today and they got he carpet layed as well...just waiting for Rhys to finish making cupboards and benches...the I will be in....yippppeee. My boys have all put in to make this dream come true for me....thanks guys so much...

Ok Im off for some much needed sleep...I have this terrible virus that I am trying to fight...

Well at last I'm starting to feel better...the last month has been an emtional roller coaster for me, but happy to say that I'm on the mend and feeling a lot better. Its amazing how all of a sudden you can wake up one morning and your whole life has been tipped upside down. With losts of love patience and support from my friends and family I'm starting to feel like the old me. Thanks to all of you for being such great friends...I'm so lucky to have such great friends who care for me...it really means alot to me.

So lets get on to more exciting things...MY STUDIO is up..and nearly ready for me to start setting up in there. Hopefully by the end of next week...just a few little things need to be done. It looks so nice in my backyard....I have been so inspired to sew over the past few days and will be adding alot more stock daily.

Yes at last today my studio arrived. We waited for it all day....delivery was supposed to be at 8.00 am but it didn't arrive until 2.00 and as soon as it came so did the rain. Bruno who has NO PATIENCE was off to a bad start..with rain and instructions that totally made no sense..

But luckily Leigh finished his appointment with the tattooist early and turned up with his friend Adam to help....Four hours later and it is nearly up....Tomorrow night I should have the roof and door on....then all I need is plaster, electricity, carpet and a coat of paint and I'm in. Then my bedroom will return to the place of rest.....

New Studio

So today I got the biggest surprise of all.......a lovely brochure sitting on my table with the receipt of YES my studio....OMG...how exciting!!!!! It is coming at the end of next week...and it should only take a day or two to put up (i hope)....Its the most amazing surprise because he had me believing that he was going to make me one...when parts weren't showing up I was getting worried :(. But the whole time he had this planned......So I am over the moon. Thanks to my man you have really made my day.

I have spent the last week in and out of hospitals...first with my dad and last night with my baby Max (his not really a baby lol but my baby shhh is 10). He had Kawasaki's Disease when he was four and was very sick...so the worst thing is that after having KD you are at risk of Heart problems....so when Max woke up this morning at three in tears with chest pains, it was a mad rush to the hospital......it was the most frightening experience.....but he is ok. After several ECGS and Blood tests the gave us the all clear to come home....he has to see a Cardiologists at the Childrens Hospital...I cant wait to have this appointment as there will be a lot further testing. But for now all is good.

Ok Im off to watch DVD with the family.

No Market Tomorrow

Unfortunately I wont be doing the market tomorrow. A family member has become ill so its just not the right time at the moment. I will probably start doing the market in early Spring. Not such a bad thing really as I have sold so a few bags this week and have a few orders to do.

So yesterday I went to the Stitches and Craft Show. I spent way to many $$$ but came home with lots of beautiful fabrics...so stay tuned for some funky bag designs over the next couple of days. It was a beautiful day and I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

I have had the most relaxing night at my BIL's house tonight...ohhh it was so nice to sit back and have someone else cook...and Franca made the most delicious apple turnovers yummmie (Definitely have to walk and extra kilometre tomorrow). My niece Natalie who is a freelance designer did some work on my blog and designed my business cards..thanks Nat you are so talented.

I will be back tomorrow to post some weekend pics...including the master chef making pancakes.

This is my new listing in my Etsy Store Red Skipping Girl Tote. Ohhh this tote is so cute and so roomy inside. Think I will have to make one for myself!!!! I have been so busy getting ready for this market stall that Shazzi and I are doing on Sunday. The market is at La Trobe University on Sunday 8.00 am to 2.00pm. It is held in the carpark....you can't miss it. So pop along and have a look :) heaps of nice thing at this market.....just praying that the weather is going to be nice..fingers crossed.

Im heading off on Friday to go the Stitches and Craft Show with some girly's from work...should be fun think I need some of that right now.....will be a busy day as we are going to see Carlton v's Collingwood on Friday night.....Sam and Max are sooooooo excited!!! No rest for the wicket..

So I better go and get domesticated so I can head back to the sewing room..LOL my bedroom...but not for much longer my studio is on its way....roof and sliding door on its way next week....so shouldn't be too much longer. Handy having sons that are trades men.... and you too Bruni!!!!!

So what have been up too?

Organising a month full of demonstrations happening at Spotlight (Sth Morang). Billie came out Wednesday (amazing women) she kick started me nicely....so there is so much going on will post the time table later this afternoon...but cant tell you there is a learn to knit children's class on Tuesday morning at 10 to 12...and so far looks like over 20 definite....oh I so cant wait. Friday the will be a Kids Scrapbooking Demo from 10 to 12. So later today I will post the calendar here. I am enjoying this job so much and for you who know ME will know that this is right up my alley.

Kids kids kids yes are on school Holidays...so nice for me not to have that morning rush....Bruno has been on Night shift so he has been home with them through the day....We have managed a few outings.....last night we went off to the movies was such a good night....kids watched Transformers and Bruno and I watched Hangover....LOL what a funny movie you have see this one....LOL we really wanted to see BRUNO for obvious reasons.....my poor bruno has coped so much flack over this especially about the yellow crocheted outfit...(and not just from his kids) sorrrry b.

Great news been told I have to take Holidays have too many hours in my kitty....so HOLIDAY here we come...Looks like we will be having a great holiday next School Holidays...Not too sure where but defiantly going away.

Alex is alot better after being sick all week with Bens virus and came back to work yesterday....nice little part time job for him at Spotlight...he sure loves the money.

Rhys and Leigh in and out as usual....just on problem when they come in its always extras that they bring with them especially to the dinner table...LOL I really dont mind...They both have nice girlfriends....surprisingly enough Leigh has managed to keep this one for awhile.

Ohhhh nearly forgot got this amazing Japanese craft Book Cotton Time and although it is in Japanese you can still follow the patterns....it is soooo nice. For you guys who dont know you can get this book in Melbourne.....at a shop called Kanga Kanga its in Russell Street. They have heaps of other books as well.

Sooo much planned for the weekend....shopping, cleaning and sewing...I have so many of those hug boots to make and a few bag orders to finish by Wednesday...and not to forget to organise my knitting class for Tuesday....I have a little extra time on Sunday as Sam is not playing footy because of School Holiday. We have a few things planned for next week, I have Thursday off so am taking the Kids up to Bendigo to visit my sister and her family...soo looking forward to it...especially the drive in my new car...will just be a fight to see whos ipod we are listening too....certainly been alot of Michael Jackson on one of my sons ipods........yes Im looking at the Man in the Mirror...

New Job

Well today is offically my last day as manager and I have the day off..how perfect. I am working the weekend as a favor to Annette who has flown out to Queensland lucky lady. So my new job is super exciting....I will be organising all demonstrations and Spotlight....how exciting!!!! Being a massive lover of craft this is going to be right up my alley...so over the next few weeks look out for things happening over at Spotlight Sth Morang......Billie from Fountain Gate is coming over to spend the day with me on Wednesday for all you that know Billie she is an amazing women...She organised the Wedding Night at Fountain Gate earlier this year and runs demos in all surrounding Spotlights (Frankston etc)....So very Exciting!!!

Anyways have to run have special coffee date this morning and a lunch date with Bruni.... I promise I will be back to post so much needed pics..but have been wanting to do them on Flicker and it is down for maintenance....

How unreal is this video...remembered that I had it on my computer...it is FIVE years old.....cant believe how much my boys have grown up. Its amazing!!!! It was Ben's 9th Birthday and he is nearly 14...I love this video or though it did bring a tear to my eye.

I had Alex's birthday this week he was 15. We had such a good night... I will post some pics later just came her to post this video while I was having my lunch......NOW back to the sewing room lots of new things coming....hopefully by tonight...

Poor Benni

What a night mare the last couple of days have been. Ben came down with a bad virus on Sunday night...Monday I took him to the hospital and they sent us home telling us he could have the swine flu....but they arent testing for it anymore (work that out)..so we left the hospital with boxes of Tamiflu for other family members not Ben..all to weird for me. They say that while teenagers get the swine they should be able to cope with it fine providing they dont have any underlying medical conditions asthma etc....so Leigh Max and Mum were all given doses.....
So Tuesday morning comes and he is so bad high temp, shaking has a sore neck, headache and cant stand the light ohhh and is vomitting....so I packed him in the car and went straight back to hospital...After losts of tests and some IV fluids we were allowed to take him home...so much relief that he is ok.....today he is alot better.

Today I actually got some sewing done and made a cute fairy and mushroom sling bag..I added to my shop today...ohh and I sold my red poka dot purse to a lovely lady in Canada.

Lets home no one else in my family gets that terrible virus....

Geee where has the week gone....Its been a great week I must say....We got a nice new car at last our old one has been on its last legs for a while...so we now have a nice Commodore VR...

Rhys has bought himself a VY Commodore UTE such a nice car..bit worried that it is a V8 but he is a farely sensible driver....will post some pics on the weekend.....

More puppies have gone we only have three left and I'm sure they will go this weekend...they are getting so much bigger and causing alot more mess...but they are so cute...

And more bad news for Leigh he is just having the worst bad luck...he had a car accident yesterday after work...poor kid got it my a truck...lucky he wasn't injured , but to make it worse the guy drove off so he had to chase him...suxs feel so sorry for him.

Kids have day off today...except Alex who has to come to work with me...looks like he has a permanent part time job there so that is great....

Have decided not too do market tomorrow as it will be way too cold...but will definitely do the next weather permitting...

Anyway better go and get ready to go to work...as I have a special visitor coming to see me today...

Have had a great weekend with Kids and Bruni...unfortunately it all came to an end when I had to go to work today.

Came home to a beautiful lamb roast cooking..gotta love it when Bruno is on night shift he starts dinner..and he is such a good cook.

Anyway best I go and get some sleep, another stocktake to do tomorrow for dress department...

All Over Yay!!!!

As much as I promise myself that I am going to blog more it just doesnt happen....life just gets so busy. Hopefully things will slow down soon as I only have three weeks left as Manager yay!!!!!. So looking forward to my new role as events organiser..should be so much fun. Stocktake went so well and I am so pleased its over.......More time for sewing....
So this weekend I have to get my butt in order as I have my first market to do on Saturday...so today I'm off to buy more fabrics.....I'm so happy I have sold a few bags to friends this week...and have a few orders to do so will be busy busy busy.
Samuel has a bye from football this weekend so at last will have a Sunday to do things.....Alex is so enjoying working at my work and I must say it is nice to see him there...except for when I hit the lunch room and he is eating my lunch LOL.....He seems to be enjoying it. Lots of car things going on with Rhys and Leigh....my drive way seems to be constantly full of teenagers working on cars...Bruno is loving this I am sure......Talking about Bruni he has been so sick with the flu...but still has been going to work...He has a doctors app this arvo but Im sure he doesnt have the swine well lets hope not anyway......kids so funny wont go near him......
We still have six puppies have sold two....we have decided to keep a tan male and he is sooo cute kids have decided to call him Zeus....
Oh and the best news ever I have a roof on my decking sooooo unreal such a great job Bruno has done...he has decided to extend the decking as well so nice to have a dry place to go outside....
This means when this is finished he will start building my studio....he is promising me that I will have before Christmas.....
So I know this has been a long post so much to catch up on...I promise that this time I wont leave it so long between posts and I will be back to post some pics of bags and clutches from my weekend of productivity......
And just remebered to mention that I received the nicest pressie from the girls in my department....a beautiful Pandora bead for my bracelet....so very nice thanks girls..will miss being your Boss....
So off I go to quickly clean up this house and get out!!!

I so dont mean to neglect this blog but life has been way too busy....so whats been happening?

Leigh turned 18...got his new car then his licence. So now I have another son on the road..more grey hairs coming...he is so excited and I am so happy for him. I havent seen much of him this weekend...to be expected LOL
Puppies are getting alot bigger and are nearly ready to leave us....Im going to miss them soooo much...

Kids are home from school as there are students with the swine flu.

Four more weeks left for me as manager...they finally have someone to take over my job...am so excited to be starting my new role at Spotlight..

And yes I finally got a little sewing done....I have cut out so many bags just need some time to sew them up...check out soon for lots of listings

Roof goes on my decking this weekend yay at last...then the boys start building my studio...

So life is rather busy....but cant complain.

Its been a LONG week..

At last its Friday!!!! I am so tired its been such a long week. I keep forgetting its only been three weeks since my surgery and me being me just rush back into everything tooo fast.

This weekend I have so much planned...

Make more stock for my Etsy Shop..especially baby shoes
Clean this house
Take Sam too Footy
Visit mum on Mothers Day
Organise my sons 18th Birthday Party (he has decided to have it at home on Sunday night)

This list makes me feel so tired LOL...so I will check back in at the end of weekend with an update...hopefully everything will be completed.

Off to bed now with my favorite book New Moon...ohhhhhh Edward!!!!!

At Last

After a very late night I finally have got my baby shoes ready for etsy....yippppeee, but unfortunately I have to go to work now so will take pics tonight and put into my shop.

First Day Back

Well today was my first day back at work....was so nice to be away from the house. Spotlight had there annual kniitting party today...always nice when you see the faces return from the year before. Day went well so nice to see all my work friends again......

So now im off to cook dinner and have and early night....really wanting to add some stuff to my etsy shop....
